While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Amnesty official urges sanctions on Israel over genocide in Gaza

Thursday 9-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

Montserrat Carreras, Amnesty International’s representative in Brussels, said that imposing sanctions on Israel is the only means to change the course of events in the Gaza Strip.

Carreras recently told Anadolu Agency that it is time to take concrete action against Israel rather than merely issuing condemnations and political statements.

Carreras condemned the persistent failure of the international community to adopt a firm stance against Israel, allowing its genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people to continue unchecked over the past two years.

She pointed to a report issued by Amnesty International in December 2024, which documented with evidence that Israel committed acts in Gaza amounting to genocide.

She noted that the findings were the result of months of field research and meticulously documented inquiries.

Khaleel El-'Hayya announces agreement to end Gaza genocide

Thursday 9-October-2025

CAIRO, (PIC)

Khaleel El-'Hayya, a senior leader of the Hamas Movement, announced on Thursday that the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has officially ended. He confirmed that a permanent ceasefire agreement has been reached following two years of fierce conflict endured by the Palestinian people.

In his statement, El-'Hayya said, “This agreement was the result of the steadfastness and resilience of our people in Gaza, who fought a battle unlike any the world has witnessed. They resisted the tyranny of the enemy and its military brutality, successfully foiling its military and political schemes.” He added, “The Palestinian resistance has demonstrated a remarkable example of courage and determination, showing the world that Gaza will never surrender or compromise on its rights.”

Khaleel El-'Hayya noted that the Movement positively responded to international efforts to reach a ceasefire but emphasized that Israel consistently stalled in implementing agreements. He said, “Despite the enemy’s repeated attempts to violate agreements, we remained committed and acted with high responsibility in negotiations. Our sole objective was to end the aggression and protect the blood of our people.”

He further stated that Hamas and the Palestinian resistance forces, in coordination with international mediators, have finally reached an agreement that ensures a “permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, the entry of humanitarian aid through the Rafa'h crossing, and a prisoner exchange.” He added, “As part of the deal, 250 prisoners serving life sentences and 1,700 detainees from Gaza will be released, along with imprisoned women and children.”

El-'Hayya affirmed that Hamas has received guarantees from international mediators and the US administration for the full implementation of the agreement. He said that work will continue with national and Islamic forces to complete the remaining steps in line with the rights and interests of the Palestinian people.

He concluded by saying, “We consider this achievement a new beginning toward realizing our people’s aspirations and right to self-determination, culminating in the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

El-'Hayya extended deep thanks to the Palestinian people inside and outside the homeland and to the supporting countries in the region, particularly Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye. He also expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported the Palestinian cause through popular and political solidarity worldwide.

He ended his remarks by saying, “Peace be upon Gaza, upon its men, women, and children, its martyrs and wounded, and its heroic prisoners who stood firm behind bars. Gaza remains resilient and will always be a symbol of freedom and dignity in the face of the occupation.”

Badran: We responded to Trump’s plan from comprehensive Palestinian national perspective

Thursday 9-October-2025

DOHA, (PIC)

'Husam Badran, head of the National Relations Office of the 'Hamas Movement and member of its political bureau, said that his Movement dealt with US President Donald Trump’s plan from a comprehensive Palestinian national standpoint, emphasizing the necessity of a united Palestinian stance to face all challenges.

In a televised speech on Thursday, Badran said, “Since Trump’s plan was announced, we have been in contact with factions and national figures, explaining the dangers and stressing the need for joint national action to reach a unified Palestinian position. We held meetings, exchanged messages, and maintained ongoing communication with factions, leaders, and independents over the past days to unify the national response.”

Badran emphasized that Hamas’s final response was the result of these broad consultations. The same approach continued during the negotiations in Sharm El-Shaikh, where all communications and meetings with the broader Palestinian national community were maintained, aiming to ensure a unified position that reflects the national interest and serves the full rights of the Palestinian people.

He affirmed the Movement’s commitment to an inclusive national dialogue in Cairo to discuss all details regarding the agreement and future plans, to ensure consensus on upcoming steps and phases.

He also noted that any Palestinian decision must reflect a united stance and include all factions, national figures, and the Palestinian people.

Badran described October 7, 2023, as a pivotal day in the conflict with the occupation, stating that the Aqsa Flood operation demonstrated to the world that the Palestinian people deserve to live freely and have the right to self-determination and to establish their state on their occupied land.

He continued, “What has been achieved today is the result of the resilience of our people in Gaza and the sacrifices of men, women, children, and the elderly. Credit also goes to the resistance fighters, both the fallen and the living, who displayed a rare example of steadfastness in defending land, identity, and cause.”

He stressed that whenever the Palestinian stance is unified, it becomes stronger and more capable of achieving national aspirations, as consensus forms a solid foundation for confronting the occupation and attaining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people on their land and in their future state.

Badran concluded, “What we see today, and what can be achieved in the future, is due to the steadfastness of our people in Gaza, the sacrifices of the resistance fighters, and the efforts of all Palestinians … keeping hope alive as we shape our future with our own hands and work toward a free and just Palestinian state on all of our occupied land.”

CAIRO, (PIC)

This came in a statement released by the Movement at dawn Thursday, the 734th day of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.

'Hamas said that this development came after its leadership and other factions participated in responsible and serious negotiations about US president Donald Trump’s proposal in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Shaikh.

'Hamas urged Trump, the countries guaranteeing the agreement, and all the Arab, Islamic and international parties to ensure that the Israeli government fully complies with the terms of the deal.

“We salute our great people in the Gaza Strip, Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), the West Bank and beyond, who have shown unmatched courage, heroism and honor in confronting the fascist occupation’s schemes against them and their national rights,” Hamas said.

'Hamas highlighted that the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people would never go in vain, vowing to uphold its commitment to the national rights and to continue the struggle for liberation, independence, and the right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, the US president announced that Israel and 'Hamas agreed on the first phase of his Gaza ceasefire plan.

Qatar, a key mediator in the ceasefire talks, also confirmed the development, saying an agreement has been reached on “all the provisions and implementation mechanisms” of the first phase of the ceasefire plan.

PLO Executive Committee welcomes Gaza ceasefire, discusses implementation of agreement

RAMALLAH, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) –

On behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas, 'Husain El-Shaikh, Deputy President of the State of Palestine, chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), during which the committee discussed the announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the beginning of Israeli withdrawal, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

During the meeting held on Thursday, the Executive Committee expressed its welcome of the agreement's outcomes, foremost among them the cessation of the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, which has lasted for two years and resulted in the killing and injury of tens of thousands of people, most of them children, women, and the elderly.

The committee expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by President Trump, along with the mediators from the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Turkey. It stressed the importance of expediting the implementation of all provisions and phases of the agreement, especially the full commitment to the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all areas of the Gaza Strip, and the immediate flow of humanitarian aid to stop the famine caused by the aggression.

The committee confirmed that the Palestinian National Authority and its government have completed the necessary preparations to address the devastating effects of the war, starting with rubble removal, relief for those affected, and the prompt organization of an international conference to rebuild the Gaza Strip in coordination with the Arab Republic of Egypt.

It also welcomed Egypt’s invitation to launch an inclusive Palestinian national dialogue among all Palestinian factions, emphasizing the importance of this step and the need for swift implementation to reinforce the unity of the Palestinian land and people in the occupied State of Palestine, including the West Bank, Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), and the Gaza Strip. The committee said this would pave the way toward the implementation of relevant international resolutions, particularly the two-state solution.

The committee also reviewed efforts made by the Palestinian government to address the severe financial crisis faced by the Palestinian Authority, caused by the continued Israeli piracy of clearance revenues. It discussed ongoing preparations to assume responsibility for managing Gaza’s affairs and maintaining security starting from the day after the occupation forces’ withdrawal.

The Executive Committee concluded the meeting by affirming that it remains in continuous session to follow up on the rapidly developing events related to the Palestinian cause and to ensure the full implementation of the agreement in a way that serves the interests and national rights of the Palestinian people.

Hamas: We are working with guarantor countries to ensure full implementation of the agreement

Thursday 9-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas spokesperson 'Hazim Qasim said that what is happening today marks the end of Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, affirming that the Movement is coordinating with mediators to implement the ceasefire agreement reached after more than two years of unprecedented destruction and humanitarian suffering.

In a statement to Al Jazeera on Thursday, Qasim said that Hamas had reached a formula for a ceasefire agreement “and left it to the mediators to announce the timing.”

He added that Israel, as usual, is trying to stall and manipulate the agreed-upon schedules, lists, and procedures in an attempt to portray Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as being in control of events.

Qasim stressed that ending the war was 'Hamas’s central goal throughout all rounds of negotiations, emphasizing that the Movement would not allow Israel “to evade its commitments or circumvent the terms of the agreement.”

He continued, “We are in continuous contact with the mediators to compel Israel to adhere to what was agreed upon and to prevent any stalling. There had been talks with our friends about declaring the ceasefire at noon today, but the Israel, for internal reasons, is delaying the announcement.”

He underscored the need for mediators to ensure Israel’s compliance with the agreement and to prevent any deliberate delay in implementing the agreed upon steps, saying, “Israel continues its last attempts to disrupt our people, whether regarding the withdrawal or other implementation measures, but we are working with the guarantor countries to ensure the full execution of the agreement.”

Qasim affirmed that the ceasefire agreement marks the beginning of a new phase for the people of Gaza, after more than two years of war that left hundreds of thousands of martyrs and wounded, and millions displaced. He noted that this popular resilience is what forced the end of the aggression and restored hope for life once again.

He concluded by expressing his appreciation to the steadfast masses of the Palestinian people in Gaza, praising “the great sacrifice made by the people, children, women, and men alike, who faced the greatest human crime in modern history with legendary steadfastness that thwarted the plans of displacement.”

UN chief calls for political path to end occupation and implement two-state solution

NEW YORK, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) –

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres renewed his welcome of the announcement of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, based on the plan put forward by US President Donald Trump.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Guterres said the world had long awaited this moment, urging all parties to seize the opportunity in a genuine and constructive manner.

He called on all sides to fully comply with the terms of the agreement and to take advantage of the opportunities it presents, affirming that the United Nations stands ready to offer its full support and, along with its partners, is prepared to act immediately.

“We have the expertise, distribution networks, and community relationships in place to act. Supplies are in place, our teams are on standby, and we can immediately scale up food, water, health, and shelter assistance,” Guterres said.

He emphasized that turning the ceasefire into meaningful progress requires more than silencing the guns. He stressed the need for full, safe, and sustained access for humanitarian workers, the removal of barriers and restrictions, and the reconstruction of destroyed infrastructure.

The Secretary-General also underscored the importance of ensuring that UN member states provide sufficient funding for humanitarian operations to meet the vast needs on the ground.

He urged all parties to use this momentum to establish a credible political path forward aimed at ending the occupation, recognizing the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, and achieving the two-state solution.

UN says 170,000 tons of humanitarian aid waiting to enter Gaza

Thursday 9-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

A spokesperson for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Thursday that around 170,000 tons of humanitarian aid are waiting to enter the Gaza Strip, following the announcement of the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The spokesperson said that once the Israeli occupation authorities, which maintain full control over all border crossings, approve who may enter the war zone, aid deliveries can proceed to assist nearly two million Palestinians facing extreme shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies. The aid includes medical supplies, tents, and other urgent relief items.

Earlier this week, OCHA reported that the occupation authorities have denied entry to 45% of registered humanitarian convoys, blocking their delivery since the beginning of the war in October 2023.

The spokesperson stressed that to deliver aid effectively to civilians, OCHA requires open crossings, safety guarantees for aid workers and civilians, visas for international staff, and unrestricted access for relief convoys.

He added that reviving Gaza’s private sector is essential to restoring basic services and stabilizing daily life as soon as possible.

Early Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed on the first phase of his plan to end the war. The initial stage reportedly includes a prisoner exchange and an Israeli withdrawal to the agreed upon “yellow line.”

UNRWA says food supplies ready to sustain all of Gaza for three months

NEW YORK, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced Thursday that it has sufficient food aid to support the entire population of the Gaza Strip for the next three months, as the humanitarian crisis continues to deepen.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated on X that the agency has food, medicines, and other basic supplies ready for immediate delivery into Gaza, and is prepared to meet the urgent needs of the population once safe access is secured.

“We have enough to provide food for the entire population for the coming three months,” Lazzarini wrote, emphasizing the agency’s central role in the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, including the provision of essential services such as healthcare and education.

He highlighted that over 660,000 children in Gaza are waiting to return to school, and that UNRWA’s teaching staff is prepared to resume their vital role in supporting education in the Strip.

Lazzarini also urged UN member states to provide the necessary support for UNRWA to fulfill its mission during this critical period.

Power sector losses in Gaza surpass $750 million amid ongoing genocide

Thursday 9-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Authority said that over two million people in the Gaza Strip are enduring catastrophic humanitarian conditions due to a near-total electricity blackout lasting two years under Israel’s genocidal war. According to the authority, the total losses of Gaza’s power sector have exceeded $750 million since the beginning of the aggression.

In a statement released Wednesday, the authority said that both direct and indirect damages have topped $750 million as a result of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) systematic targeting power grids, generation plants, and solar energy systems across Gaza’s governorates.

Repeated bombings have destroyed hundreds of kilometers of power lines and distribution networks, while the IOF has prevented the entry of fuel needed to operate Gaza’s power stations, worsening an energy crisis that has crippled nearly every aspect of daily life.

The authority emphasized that electricity cuts have devastated essential services, particularly in the health sector, where hospitals struggle to run operating rooms, intensive care units, and medical storage facilities, putting patients’ lives at risk.

The blackout has also disrupted water and sewage systems, communications, and education, paralyzing factories, commercial facilities, and basic services, deepening Gaza’s economic and humanitarian collapse.

Gaza’s Electricity Distribution Company continues to face major challenges in restarting power stations and bringing in the necessary fuel and maintenance equipment. Technical teams are also being prevented from accessing damaged areas for repairs due to unsafe field conditions and repeated targeting by the IOF.

As part of efforts to sustain essential services and clean water supplies, the Energy Authority activated the Kissufim line feeding the desalination plant in Deir al-Balah and restored power to the southern desalination facility in central Gaza, increasing water production nearly eightfold.

These plants now serve as critical sources of fresh water for Gaza’s population. The authority affirmed its commitment to improving power lines feeding key facilities and strengthening the humanitarian response under severe conditions.

Despite the devastation, the authority said the crisis has only reinforced its determination to rebuild. It reaffirmed its full commitment to restoring electricity as swiftly as possible, calling power restoration a “national and humanitarian priority.”

The statement urged the international community to assume its moral, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities toward Gaza’s population, ensure access to basic life-sustaining services, and enable institutions to rebuild infrastructure destroyed by the IOF’s ongoing genocide.

Betul Yilmaz  |09.10.2025

Anadolu, Istanbul --

At least 67,194 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Thursday.

A ministry statement said that 11 bodies, including one retrieved from the rubble, were brought to hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 49 people were injured, taking the number of injuries to 169,890 in the Israeli onslaught.

“Many victims are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescuers are unable to reach them,” it added.

Thursday 9-October-2025

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army committed a new massacre in Gaza City, killing and injuring dozens of the Palestinian civilians in El-Sabra neighborhood, shortly before a widely expected announcement of a ceasefire.

According to the Civil Defense, the Israeli occupation forces targeted a home belonging to the Ghabin family, where more than 40 people were trapped beneath the rubble on Al-Thalatheeni Street in al-Sabra.

Rescue teams are still working at the site under extremely dangerous and difficult conditions. So far, four bodies have been recovered, and search operations continue.

Earlier today, 25 Palestinians were killed and many others were injured by Israeli strikes across various parts of the Gaza Strip.

The assault has resulted in the killing of over 67,194 people and 169,890 injuries, the majority of them women and children. More than 9,000 people remain missing, while hundreds of thousands have been displaced. A famine has also claimed many lives, including dozens of children.

Meanwhile, Muslim worshipers were denied entry to their Islamic holy site during the settler tours, while many others were unable to enter the holy city or move in its streets.

On Wednesday, over 1,300 settlers defiled the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards on the morning of the second day of the Sukkot holiday.

Attacks by the illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank leave Palestinians injured, tents burned, and crops destroyed

Thursday 9-October-2025

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Illegal Israeli settlers launched a new wave of violent attacks across the occupied West Bank on Thursday, coinciding with the olive harvest season, leaving several Palestinians injured and causing extensive property damage in the governorates of Nablus, El-Khaleel (Hebron), and Salfeet.

In Nablus, one Palestinian farmer was injured after settlers assaulted several farmers harvesting olives in the towns of 'Huwwara and Burin, south of the city. Local sources reported that settlers attacked a farmer in the Ras Zaid area, west of 'Huwwara, inflicting multiple injuries on his body.

In El-Khaleel (Hebron), a group of the illegal Israeli settlers set fire to a residential tent belonging to 'Ali Mu'hammed El-Shawaheen in Wadi El-Jawaya, near Masafir Yatta, after hurling a Molotov cocktail at it. The tent was completely burned down, along with stored animal feed.

Local activist Osama Makhmara confirmed that no injuries were reported, as the family was not present at the time of the attack.

Masafir Yatta has witnessed an escalating campaign of settler violence in recent days, including two attempted car-ramming attacks targeting children and civilians in Shi'b El-Butum and Khallet El-Dhab’a, as well as another ramming incident earlier this week that injured a woman and her two children at the northern entrance of Yatta.

In Salfeet, settlers assaulted Palestinian farmer Ma'hmoud 'Abdul Ra'hman Raddad and his wife while they were working on their land between the towns of El-Zawiya and Rafat.

Eyewitnesses said the settlers came from a nearby illegal outpost, beat the couple severely, expelled them from their land, and stole the olive harvest they had gathered.

These recurring assaults reflect a systematic campaign of terror aimed at forcing Palestinian farmers off their lands. The Israeli occupation forces routinely turn a blind eye, or actively protect settlers, during such attacks, reinforcing an environment of impunity and collective intimidation.

Macron: Israeli settlement expansion threatens Palestinian statehood, violates international law

PARIS, October 9, 2025 (WAFA) –

French President Emmanuel Macron warned Thursday that the accelerating expansion of Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank poses an existential threat to the establishment of a Palestinian state, calling it a violation of international law and a driver of rising tensions and violence in the region.

His remarks came during the opening of a conference in Paris bringing together Arab and European foreign ministers to discuss the future of Gaza following the announcement of the ceasefire agreement.

Macron stressed the need to unify the West Bank and Gaza under the administration of the Palestinian Authority as part of a clear transitional phase, aligning with efforts to restore stability and support a two-state solution.

He also called for the disarmament of Hamas and its exclusion from any future political role, arguing that only a unified and legitimate Palestinian leadership could move forward with state-building efforts.

The French president affirmed that the future governance of Gaza should be in the hands of Palestinians themselves, in a way that respects their right to self-determination and moves toward the creation of a Palestinian state, in line with the U.S. vision.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
